iPhone 3G and Bluetooth sync
I am not sure if anyone else has got the new 3G iPhone but was anyone successful in pairing this with the C300 MM bluetooth system? I used to have no issues with a Nokia N73 but with the new 3G iPhone, even though I switched on Bluetooth, the car does not seem to recognize the phone.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
First, turn off activate bluetooth on the car, then reactivate it. Then, make sure you delete your old profile on the car. Turn on bluetooth on the iphone and pair it. It will ask you first on the car to assign a PIN, then you put the same pin on the iPhone.
Enjoy.
still....i love the 3g iphone and the bluetooth connectivity works fine with the car...just wish i could charge it in glove box if battery ever died like i could with my original iphone

I suppose it still won't work as an iPod either... I guess they REALLY want to see their iphone kit I read about for the car... From the looks of that though, you'll have to keep the phone in the arm rest so that will be a deal breaker for me unless they implement SMS with the MM system.

Try manually re-pairing it with the guide that xntrek posted.
On a side note, I'm suprised with the amount of people on this forum who purchased the iPhone 3G on launch day...we're all fanboys.

As a side note, I was surprise to see the signal strength (am not sure if this was the bluetooth strength / cellphone signal strength) on the MM console screen - this was not seen when I used to pair with a Nokia. Please see pics for reference - the signal strength appears as set of bars on the top (or bottom of the screen when in full screen NAV mode).

Congrats on the successful pairing though.
