over-wattage issues

ok i know we're not supposed to stick bulbs with higher wattage than oem in our cars because of potential dangers but...

i got these really sweet ultra bright reverse lights that make it a lot easier to see through my tints when i'm reversing at night. i really want to use these but theyre 50W as opposed to the stock 21W reverse bulb. the only reason i'm considering putting the bulbs in is because theyre on only for a few seconds a day (while reversing) as opposed to being always on or even on for longer periods of time. is this a completely out of the question?

that's a LOT more wattage. Might be ok. The wiring won't be a problem but the housing might melt.

that'll just make it worse, most of the time the aftermarket stuff isn't as well engineered as OEM.

nonono i meant i was planning on getting oem led taillights (mine are non-led), and using my current setup as a test run on the bulbs...
