oh ****! hmmmmmm...I think I'm going to go buy some good 3m tape, rip it off and reapply it. The tape did feel pretty flimsy to me and not nearly as good as the ones on the pillar.

LOL! That F$#kin' sucks... I heard the mirrors tend to get a hell of a beating from the wind haha. They mentioned that the mirrors were a large source of 'drag and wind noise', probably need to figure out a better adhesive for the overlays. Does anyone know if the chrome part pops off? Perhaps in the future a real carbon fiber piece will be designed by one of the benz tuners? (there probably is already, I have a feeling...)

Holy crap you're right, that tape is flimsy. I thought I'd have to be careful pealing it off, but it just came straight off. I noticed that they painted the inside of the cover and applied the tape on top of the paint. Problem is the paint just comes right off, along with the tape! I took some sand paper and sanded off the inside paint as it serves absolutely no purpose, then wiped it off, then bought some heavy duty double sided tape from home depot and put it back on. MUCH more secure. I'd highly suggest to anyone else who bought this do the same.

And I will suggest anyone who buy the mirror should use stronger tape instead of the original tape.

I use liquid Bear contact cement ( yellow). Coat each surface , wait for it to become tacky & press the two parts together. It can be removed with hydrocarbons.

Ordered, and just received the package. It looks good, but the CF is hard, not flexible like CF for pillar. Pillar's sticky tape is a full surface, this one is not. I expect a better and professional sticky tape finish, not like this...

It doesn't look that bad. Buy some more 3M tape and put it on yourself, its pretty easy. I'm glad its hard CF tho as that means its quality CF and not just a thin cheap one.

harder probably to get the shape formed. Better like that and fits fine. But yeah, the tape is ****. Just strip off some of the black paint on back and put your own double sided
