*DIY* I've Unleashed a Cyclops!

And then the fun begins.
Several Saturdays ago I was lunching at Arnie's at the Edmonds Marina with some friends and, spotting a very well kept Mars Red C350, I walked toward it and noticed that it had, wait for it, a BACKUP CAMERA.
No owner in sight.
Never say never - but for now I think this may be a dead issue.
I was talking with Dan about this today and we are going to try very hard to make this happen...
Up until now we were busy setting up our forum sponsership but that is done which means its just a matter of getting a couple of things ready. Hold tight and we'll work on getting this going asap.

I just got mine from TJ as well... Going to install it today...
I took out all the stuff and the two (2) power leads for the camera are so close to the RCA jack? I went down to Radio Crap and picked up a RCA extension so that would be the only line I have to run to the front…..
Did you run you wires above the headliner like TJ was saying or under the door sills?
Great write up…
I ran the wire under the door sills (easier this way). Remember to remove the sills first. And yes... I had to get an RCA extension to run it to the front.
The suggestion to get the RCA extension worked out great… made it easier for me to install…
By the way, I just did the install. I put the camera in the center most hole… please check it out…https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...57#post3074757
I referenced your page as well just so people can see another way of doing the install. I did not go over what you already discussed and by no means was trying to replace your post… just trying to add a supplement to yours.
Thanks again!
P.S. I should be doing the Factory Illuminated Door Sill install DIY this coming week when time permits… I thought it would just be some wire tap… BUT NO! It comes with a control unit and more fun stuff…
