2008 c350 SG - 2004 c240 Wagon BS
You guys are in the lucky markets that get all the models. MBUSA has a narrow focus of what MBZ models people in the US want.
I would buy a B-class or C-class Estate in a second if I could.

2008 R350 & 2008 C300
The U.S. market will be getting the GLK instead of the C Estate. While I'm very curious about the GLK I'm worried that their price structure is going to ruin it. Although nothings official the GLK is said to have close to the same price structure as the C class, which is fine if your looking at a GLK 300, but as soon as you dip into the 350 your looking at somewhere around $42k for a base model. That price is putting you in the territory of a nicely equipped ML 350 around $43-$45k. I'm starting to think it makes more sense to have the Estate here than the GLK.

Yeah, I too would prefer to have the choice to buy the Estate ["wagon"] in the US market, and I too am highly suspicious of MBUSA's decision to make the 3.5 the standard engine for the US. This almost guarantees a starting price of $40k, and I too have to ask, what's the point?
Get me the Estate with the new twin-turbo diesel 4 cyl. That I would buy.

GLK is poorly timed and MB may likely regret their decision. The market is abandoning SUVs and even cross-overs and smaller SUVs will be meeting longer term resistance.
