so the BUG is gone...
so the BUG is gone today. 1.8 turbo. had a wonderful 9 year run with it. had it since high school. it wasn't all problem free, but a fun little car to drive even though the gas mileage really ain't that great. $27001 out of door in Sept 99. $4600 trade-in in 2008.
so it said good bye to the family (dad just happened to came in while i'm taking pics

yup...no options. would love the Comand, BUT MBUSA decide to "package" them all together, so decide against it. $36k out of door FTW. lol
the only complain is the stock "AMG" wheel is the WORST AMG wheel I've seen EVER!
yup, it's an 08. last shipment of the 08. just came off the boat.

OK...first stupid issue.
garage door opener not working properly. took in the code from the remote, but not from the opener itself (rolling code). tested on my sis CLK and it works it also works on my 32, so I know user/me is not the issue here. anyone else had the same issue?
edit: hmm...our 2005 odyssey with homlink doesn't work either. maybe it's some coding issue with 05-newer home links...

I followed the instructions in the manual, and I set it up in about 20 seconds to open my parents' garage. Now I can visit while they're out and steal everything!
Except they're 400 miles away and there's no way their TV will fit in the backseat. ![Frown](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
No help, I know.
I don't wanna go out to my car, but I believe the manual did say something about rolling codes... hmm.

2014 Ghibli S Q4 & 2008 C350
Nice ride! Good price for the C350, mine was closer to 45K OTD... I couldn't get my car to work with my GDO either. Nor could I get it to work my Mitsubishi w/ Homlink either so I think it's the rolling codes used in the remotes.
BTW, I like the look of the 17" AMG's and they seem like they would be easier to clean than the 18"s with the extra groves. Not that I'm partial or anything...

thx fellows.
nbturbos, guess that's new beetle turbo S for short?
T3/T4 must've been fast . It was a fun car to cruise around town in. windows down, sun roof open, smile on the face. I think it's just the way Beetle make ppl feel happier. lol
krytech, did't work for the homlink in ur Mitsu either? seems like our problems are the same. would new remote work? as you read my C32 and the CLK320 doesn't have the problem with homlink.![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
myinternetsucks, car's bought from HOI like all our other MBZ. we went to shop around at FJ as well, but didn't get treated nicely. got a run around by an idiot Sales with their typical "how much are you willing to pay" bull**** game. We went back to HOI and talked straight to the new sales manager whose old boss/friend was who we bought all our Benz from and got a no BS deal right away.

My coupe gets driven very rarely now. It drinks gas like a pig especially since I had the 185mm pulley installed.

It was damn fast for a 1.8L, made about 315whp with a cracked exhaust manifold. H&R coilovers and Neuspeed sway bars, it handled great too. I have a 1962 beetle now, have always loved VW's, before the benz I had an MKV GTI.
And yeah thats what my SN stands for, my AIM SN is 'teh uber bug' lol.
For reference:

I got Porsche Fuchs for the old one, gotta get the brakes and paint it olive drab before I put them on though. I did a great photo shop of what I want it to look like.
