My Schatz'ed up car
I've finally installed a couple of interior trims from Schatz.
Firstly, I installed the burr walnut wood gear-shift lever. It's real solid wood, and looks and feels awesome - the quality is top class. The feeling of the wood in your hand whilst holding it is great (no pun intended)

Some more
I also bought the burr walnut wood trim that goes on the glovebox.
I really wanted that as I always thought that the passenger side of the cabin lacked some trim. It was too bare in my opinion.
At least now, this trim breaks some of the monotony of the plastic on that side of the dashboard. It also blends it quite well with the trim from the door panel, with a similar curved end.
The trim itself is made of solid wood and is about 5mm thick at its thickest in the middle and tapers towards the top end where it meets the chrome strip.
It's definitely not the cheap sticker type trim kit that is available. I guess you pay for that Schatz quality and workmanship though at $200 for this trim alone. But it was worth it, as it really rounds up the interior nicely.

Looks very nice! Both pieces go very well with the interior of the Lux. They look beautiful and OEM. The only thing is... $200 for that little piece in the passenger side? I guess looking good is a costly effort. Thanks for the kind conversion for us Americans, BTW. When helpful people like you are not around, I use the following website:

Burr Walnut; Eucalyptus; Bird's eye maple; and Carbon Fiber.
I didnot post the last page of the catalog by mistake.

Looking very nice indeed! Although, instead of the glovebox strip, I'm considering the vent replacements. I think those would look nice without going "over the top" wood-wise.
What do you think?

But those vents were absurdly expensive - quote I got was $1k for the set of all 3 vents.

Other parts similarly priced .
I think 3 vents were under $500

$219 20420 Speedometer Frame

I think, I may even be cheaper for me to order from the US and then get it shipped back to the UK.
