It doesn't rub since I rolled my fenders.

I guess I can tell. Only thing done to my car is heated coils making the coil hot and expand as the weight of the car is heavy lowering the car

Im curious, why is everything a riddle wit ur threads? I read the last few threads u posted, and u never give a straight answer. If ur not willing to provide some info on shortcuts, and where u can get certain things done at an affordable price, then why even post a thread. I mean u already know that questions will be asked. Anyway, at the end of the day I dont really care, just figured I would say what some are wondering.

My opinon on ur car, rolled fenders, cool!!! Sounds like plans for some wide wheels and low series tires, nice can't wait to see. Heated springs, not a smart move, I am all about saving a dollar, but certain things shouldn't be short cutted on a Benz.

what about the lifespan and the ride quality and and the eletronic agility control, will it spoil the function?
how does heated springs brings the car down anyway

i reckon if u get some wider fenders with some wide offset wheel would look the business, i reckon ..

That's what I meant about torching the springs. That's a horrible way of lowering the car, and you say you wouldn't put ricer **** on it? Spring rate's for the ride height of that car is totally off. And no you can not re-heat the springs back to stock, you gonna hang the car upside down from the wheels?

Like someone said, I'm all about saving a few bucks but that's just a dumb idea. Don't take my post as offensive, just giving my opinion. Does it look good? Sure, but definitely went about it the wrong way. This ain't a 74 super beetle.

Maybe you should look for a different car if you can't spend the $220.00 for lowering springs. Heating the OEM springs wasn't a smart idea at all. Let's just hope they don't cause you any trouble in the future

Just like to tease people? Good luck 2 u !!!! Heat treat your spring may distort and stress the structure of the spring metal. May rupture anytime...especially when taking hard cornering. Lowering spring cost less than 500 bucks, your life worth less than that??? Good Luck !

Heated springs? Eh... I'm not riding in your car, sorry.

I say this out of pure concern for your safety: get some new springs soon. mkmm said it right.

I totally agree. Although, there are tons of 2000 Ford Taurus vehicles with broken coil springs.

A friend had one and the back looked really saggy. I looked at her springs and they were broken. There was once a recall by Ford to have a wraps installed around the springs so pieces didn't fly out when eventually broke. They didn't replace the springs under recall until much later . They didn't mind the little things, like safety.
