Service A
Does Service A occur at 12000 miles OR 12 months? When I bought the car, the sales rep told me that it only occured at 12000 miles. Now my car is telling me that Service A is due (12 months)..I only have 7800 miles on it..I read the manual, but it is not clear either.

Sorry for the question, this is my first Mercedes.

i think its at 12 months the first time just had mines done at 10,200 11 months and 1 day almost 12 months..........checked my next service and it says 13000 miles

I would say it's 12,000 miles or 12 months which ever comes first.

12,000 miles is 19,200 km. For us Canadians, the service intervals are every 20,000 km. When I had between 19,200 and 20,000 km on my car, I got the message the car exceeded the Service A by x00 miles when I had the readouts displayed in miles, but Service A is due in x00 km when set to display in km.

For US 2008 C300 model, it is 12 months or 13K miles, whichever comes first.

For US 2009 C-Class, it's 12 months or 10K miles, whichever comes first.

2008 c350 12 months or 13000 miles whichever comes first....i think the display cycles thru the two...sometimes it says XXXXX miles until service A or XXX days until service A

In our case, it was 8500 miles.

And I think the manual couldn't be clearer about this.

No big deal....

I'm at 3.7k miles, picked it up 10 months ago(oct 07).

I really, really, don't drive this car that far, but I do drive it alot.
