2008 C350
ECU, tint questions.
Hello to all the W204 owners.
This is my first post after joining this forum.
I've bought a C350 about a month and a half ago and have 1200miles on it.
After taking it to the max a couple times, I felt that my W204 wasn't powerful as I expected...
So I thought that an ECU flash was a good place to start...
I've looked through the forum and found couple companies that offer ECU flashing and was wondering which ones would you prefer...I'm thinking of Renntech right now(my MB dealer was offering this according to the Renntech website and am hoping that it won't void my warranty.). Is the 10hp boost worth 1300$$$???
Also what kind of tint film company should I go with? I am thinking about Llumar(around 160$).
Hope to hear some good suggestions...T.T
Also anybody here near W.Lafayette?

MBWorld Fanatic!
As far as the ECU- you pay more for warranty retention. $1300 is alot for 10hp but you are paying for a reputable, MB supported company to do the work. You have the C350 (you have 50+hp on me) and you are not happy? You do realize are just now out of your break in period (should not have been driving that hard).
As far as tint- llumar is metallic film (not the best). I have had it in the past (paid $90 for 4 door car with lifetime total warranty) and it was OK. I choose Formula 1 Pinnacle eries Ceramic tint. THE BEST! It goes on nicely and you can definitely see the difference in the film. No bubbles (even same day as install) and has a classy look to it. It is not a super dark film (they don't make 5% or anything like that) but the appearance is incredible.

MKB has a tune that is suppose to take the 350 to 306 hp. They quote 0-60 in 5.3 sec which would be good enough for what I am looking for out of a car, but the price of the tune is $2500. Let me know if you go that route as I am expecting my 350 sometime in September and will also looking to juice it up a bit after break-in. There is a MKB shop located in CA that you send the ECU to and they are suppose to have it back in your hands the next day.
