Years ago, in the mid-west, it was declared that light-colored cars become 'invisible' on the horizon. So, it was suggested that people not buy those colors. White is about as light as you can get, eh?

In the Northwest, a white car stands out because it's not grey or green. Most cars stand out for similar reasons.

I suspect that the color is 'safe' if you live where the color doesn't blend into the environment. if your car does blend in, you need to be aware and be more willing to practice 'defensive driving'. (E.g., mount a 50 cal. cannon where the star is supposed to be .... )

Im not really insecure about it; actually I have a white 911 as well lol... just curious to see if this was a common thought. apparently its not a common belief. I also think white looks good on a lot of cars & is sporty!

I always have girls saying my car is cute and HOT....white is really appealing to girls and i have heard this before also. I live in orange county and alot of girls like white cars (especially white scions) so i guess i understand what ur saying....but IMO white just looks FRESSSSHHHH ina benzo

Yes this is my dressed as Vader at AnimeNext08. Costumes plastic pieces are molded off the suit used in Return of the Jedi as well as the same patterns used for the cape, undersuit (vinyl not leather) and outer suit.

The only colors I even considered were White, Palladium Silver & steel grey. We ordered our car in steel grey sight un seen. When it arrived steel grey w/ light grey MB Tex it was easily the most stunning & elegant yet sporty color. We looked at a white one and at looked so boring and "fleet" like by comparison.

In general, I think white cars look classy. The W204 looks especially good in white.

A lot of people buy white cars here in the desert southwest. The cars stay cooler than darker colored ones.

I had never really thought about white being a feminine color. Many municipal, utility, and work trucks are white here.

I guess thats why it doesn't appeal to me. I've never been one to follow the rest of the sheep so to speak. It actually annoys me that the W204 is as common now as it is here in Nor-Cal. In my area Black,palladium silver, and silver are the most popular. Trust me I own a service company, all of my service trucks are boring white (white is good for business trucks) at the end of the day I like to see some color in the driveway. Again no offense to those who like or only by white cars. And just because something is the most popular doesn't mean it's the best.... The Ford Explorer was the top selling SUV in the 90's also the Taurus was the best selling sedan at some point neither were really good at anything.
