I found it hanging under the front air dam.

It's just the label that is attached to most parts. The part number beginning with A204 is at the top.
Schwarz is the german word for black so I assume that's the color and the AMG tells me that it's for a USA version Sport model. The date 1/16/2008 is probably the manufacturing date of the part.

Thanks, I would guess it is for the front spoiler part number.

I ran the bar code through my handy dandy Mercedes Bar Cod reader and it turns out your car is a Transformer. At some point during the next year your car will leave your house unannounced and film a new movie do out sometime in 2009. Don't worry though, it will return shortly there after and will most likely save your life at some point during your ownership.
Lol if you didn't figure it out I was joking. From the looks of it, it would appear to be the part stocking sticker for the front air dam, hence the AMG USA line.
