Hey Quad Tip Question
Hey
I was wondering what I needed for the quad exahust setup up. Is it just the rear diffusor and tips? When I phoned the dealer they said they never herd of anyone doing it and its not possible. They also said you probably need the c63 muffler but no guarantee which I dont want because that will be like 3g's. It looks crazy tho and I want it badly. Also does it void mb waranty
So..
Thanx

You don't need new mufflers to get a quad exhaust setup. You can use your existing mufflers and just change the tips. However, this setup is only for looks. It will not increase your performance. If looks is what you are looking for, get a diffuser and the quad tips. Hope this helps

Yeah I'm just doing it for looks I am fine with performance of the C.
What parts exactly do I need? Also could i get these at the dealer or where online, is it expensive?

UR2SLO, the following is a photo of the "Y" connector that was fabricated
by Garage 5 (my installer). The critical part is the alignment of the tips and just how far out you want it to stick pass the opening in the C63 diffuser.
The alignment took a long time!
Go order yourself the C63 diffuser and AMG quad tips. Then find a real
good speed shop with a lot a patience to fabricate the "Y" pipes and align the tips properly before welding them together.
Hope this explains the installation more clearly. Good luck.

My dealer said they dont have a number for the rear diffusor so they cant give me a price. Also that they dont sell or something like that for the tips of the c63. So I asked for the SLK55 AMG they said $2300 for JUST tips.

Please do your research and check out the prices. At the end, you will realize that my quad tip project although it sounds expensive, it is actual reasonable compared to what it will cost if you work through the dealer.
Save your time and effort; learn from the experience of guys in the forum.
Good luck man.

The "Y" pipe is fabricated by the installed. Looks simple enough, but to get the measurements correctly so it will align properly is the hard part. The process took a good 3.75 hours to make; I was there to supervise.
What you do with the tail pipe does not in any way affect your new car warranty.
