harder than you think
I just had a custom clear bra put on and I gotta tell you, the guy had trouble with it. The companies rate cars on a difficulty factor of 1-5 with 5 being the hardest. The lower apron on the sport is rated a 5. If you can get a custom job then do it, but it will be more like $500 or more. The precut kits tend to leave "uncovered areas" and I have read where other members were not nearly satisfied with it.
On the other hand, its only $25 so who cares.

I can't see getting very good material for only $25. Who knows how well the adhesives are and the yellowing effect.
I'm pretty much one of those arrogant people that thinks/knows I can do as good of work as anybody with enough experience. The key word is "experience" and a little bit of talent is helpful.
I have a lot of vinyl experience but it was at a small scale. IMO putting a clear bra on this car takes a little know how and it was too expensive for me to be playing the "practice game".

I think a clear bra is something that a pro should apply. I've seen some terrible jobs, and they look, well, terrible. But then, it's $25. Who cares? I think it's worth a try.
If it doesn't work out, oh well, there goes a lunch down the drain.

Another issue is quality of film. It can damage your paint. If it doesn't allow 100% UV pass through, then when you remove it, you might be stuck with a two tone vehicle.

Thats what I figured. Also he doesn't seem to know that there are multiple fender configurations. Steering clear besides I already have small rock pings so the bra most likely wouldn't seal right.

Guys, come back to earth. Here is a few real points from someone that has clear bra's on all the cars, and know the installer (that did mine) that serves many dealerships in Atlanta. Including Ferrari.
First off, get reputable film. I would suggest getting it from a dealer. Go to the Premier website, or X-Pel, and look for the installers in your area. Let them install the kit. DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF. Trust me, when watching these pro's do it, it is not a DIY.
Example on my CLS:
Half hood
Front Bumper
Mirrors
Edges of doors
Insides of door handles
Cost was $525.00. I fixed his computer while I was there, so that's how I got it done for $525. Actual cost would have been $650.
The film will not make your car two toned, he has installed and removed many kits. Quality film will allow UV rays through, and not leave residue when removed by a professional. It will not yellow and crack either.
To show me a car that has had the film for over two years, he showed me his car. He had actually clear bra'd the ENTIRE CAR. I could not even tell until I got really close up. The car of course looked brand new.
Get a pro. Get it done right.

I dream of doing this. But the cost would be just too prohibitive.
Full vinyl wrap, anyone? I've thought of doing that as a way of 1. changing the color of the car, and 2. preserving the white underneath. Can you imagine driving around in a black/silver/red/yellow/orange/green car for 5 years, and then TA-DA! Brand new white car! O, and if I ever am chased by a bunch of commandos trying to kill me, I can drive under a tunnel, tear off all the vinyl and come out a different car. I've seen other secret agents do this in movies.

I wish I could shrink wrap the whole car.
I was driving on the Jersey turnpike last weekend and for about 5 miles, I thought I was going through an asteroid field... soon I a dump truck in the right most lane with the small spill door open. No damage though. Got lucky I suppose.
