fog light frames dechromed
ok so i was working on painting my grill, its dry and primered and so were my fog light covers. before painting my grill some white accents, i thought id paint the covers first.
my painting was practically flawless, but after i attached the covers back onto the car, i saw that the white was a bit off (got a white from kragen). well, still looks good to me, but decided to just stick with the flat black style that the primer gave me. let me know what you guys think.

Looks good. Shoulda painted it black but thats my opinion. Its good you got rid of the chrome cause chrome and white arent my favorite. Maybe paint the chrome strips of your grill black?

i was thinking black also, but i figured since the insert behind it is already black, i didnt want just a blank circle look. im going to paint the lux grill flat black, maybe the chrome strip at the back white (when benz comes out with arctic white spray)

Yeah thats true.. The two tone look looks good. And contact the dealer and get the paint code and then take to a paint wholeseller and IM sure they can come up with something..

Looks good. At first glance I wasn't so sure, but then the more I looked at it, the more it grew on me. Can we get a straight front pic with camera level to the hood, getting the whole car from top to bottom in the frame if possible?

white and whiter
saw darth's post and now your post on the foglight surround. I don't think I like any (chrome, black, white). personal preference would be for the foglight to recess into the mesh like the w203 did.

Three torx holds the black mesh in place then just turn it over and push the little fingers to get the chrome part off. Very simple. If you intend to paint the chrome you must sand it off first paint doesn't adhere to well to chrome.
