Any experience with wheel bolt pattern converters/adapters?

Has anyone used wheel bolt pattern converters/adapters? They go on the car like wheel spacers, but change the bolt pattern from stock (5x112 for us) to whatever else.

I've read here and there that using such things will cause undue stress on the wheel bearings and other suspension/wheel components. So I don't think I'll be using one... but just a thought.

Any personal experiences or info on fitting these?

I've never used any kind of adapter that fit on like a spacer, but on my last car I did use "wobble bolts" to fit 5x112 wheels onto a 5x110. Had them on for 4yrs and they worked great. There's all kinds of quality wobble bolts out there, just google. Hope that helps.

that sounds crazy. i don't know if i want anything to wabble on my hub. i wonder how those adapters work because the lugs stick out how can an adapter change that?

i did ponder changing the whole assembly to fit 5x114 because of some wheels i wanted and could get cheaper in that bolt pattern.

lemme know if you find out more. i'd love to fit 5x114

It doesn't actually wobble. They're basically just conical bolts that can adapt for up to +/- 2mm.
