Unhappy Noise issue from somewhere around back area of my car

I own W204 C300 4matic. I have sometimes heard a noise from somewhere around the back area of my car when I drive since I had it. Based on what I have heard so far, I think the noise is made by something touching each other in the backside of car and it begins to make a vibration sound and slowly dies itself. Also, the vibration sound stops whenever I hit a break pedal. I went to the dealership to fix the noise issue. Mechanics checked the car and did road test. Unfortunately he did not hear any noise at that time. He said that the car is perfect. Next day I could still hear the vibration sound again. I know a noise problem is always difficult to fix. In my case, it will be more difficult to fix it because the noise is intermittently made. Has anyone experienced this kind of noise problem? Do I have to wait until I can hear the noise all the time as the mechanics told me? T.T

Maybe an exhaust hanger?

The good news is that the tech said that the car is in working order, so there is no immediate danger of things falling off.

I thought I read somewhere that there was a Service Bulletin out on rear suspension problems on the 4Matic - might have been my imagination. Do an internet search and see what you come up with.

In my case it was the exhaust hanger. I added the chrome tips from MB dealer and after few months i heared the sound ( vibration , humming ) from the back. When i accelerate in a bend or incline surface only then the sound could be heard.

The problem was , a rubber fell out and the exhust was touching the body. They did not put it back up properly after fitting the chrome tips.

It might be the exhaust hanger .. ask them to check it out.

Thank for all replies

I will ask the dealership to check the rear suspension and exhaust hanger.
