I don't understand why everyone is bashing this guy he didn't ask what the law was, he knows the law. All he simply asked was how to turn the noise off not have fourm babysitters and police officers. If he doesn't wanna buckle thats his problem not yours, you guys don't pay for his insurance or live his life. Also I know I guy that burned to death alive because he couldnt get out of his car when it was on fire and his seatbelt was stuck so there you go....

Have some respect for the POLICE and FIRE who go to these accidents, its more than just his life when someone else cleans up the mess.Originally Posted by nychokeyplaya35

You know it's the law, but obviouly still don't understand why the law is there, hence your defensiveness.

No there is no sensor to be disabled and if you unplug any part of the restraint system you will get a warning light and a stored code. And when the light is on the entire system is off, airbags and all.

the only reason some people turn it off is because it is a annoying beep, but 99% of the people still wear their seatbelts.

Just put the seat belt on before starting the car. Since it is the reminder to use the seat belt if the belt is already on then it will not ring.
Sorry if this was stated already and I missed it.

Drove my C350 in today and I noticed that I don't have a seat belt chime. The little red light on the cluster flashes but I don't get any reminder sound.
Not that I mind, but in the context of this thread I find it a bit odd.

You and Mr.-no-seat-belts might consider swapping cars.Originally Posted by wblynch
