HID on C230?
So I asked a very knowledgeable HID kit reseller if there was a way around it and this was his answer:
"If they are pulsed output voltage, then a capacitor can be used in parallel to the ballast or in parallel to a relay on a harness. The only way to really find out is testing with a multimeter capable of frequency or duty cycle measurements, or by experimenting with the actual kit. Tapping wires here would be using some wire splices, just some push on splicing mechanism that is really very easy."
I'm not very mechanically or electronically inclined so this makes me a bit nervous. Could anybody shed some light on this? I hate the fact that MB doesn't offer HID as an option.
Thanks!

and follow simulation, under settings, there is option to enable or disable daytime running lights.
the problem is that, currently, canadian version of w204 is disabled to use this function.
i guess you can try to convince the dealer to enable this function.
if you do so, please let me know an updates.
what is the closest US dealership from you ?
Probably Northern NY somewhere...maybe Syracuse?
My previous car (e46 BMW), my local dealer was able to disable DRL by reprograming the car to US spec, and change back mile -> km and F -> C.
i bet you that if they are willing to do it, they can do it for you.
ask them why they can not do it, when the car (which clearly shows in the link I gave you) has ability to do so.
dealers shoud be
ed
they just dont want to break the law
