I have played around with the dyno mode engaged, just after the rain... lemme tell you, I think this car has more than 268hp. I had her sideways through a turn roaring(x-pipe) and screeching, and when the tires caught @ aroud 4k rpm, she whipped straight and took off like a rubber band. From launch if feels much snappier, but you have to watch for wheel spin. Too much fun IMO. On another note, I wish I had bucket seats cause i was hanging on for dear life

I don't get it. ESP, ABS, Etc. You are all scoffing, saying these things don't matter, worth sacrificing them for a more aggressive feel, more "fun", more power.
Then why on earth did you buy the Mercedes? I think most here that are shying from the idea like that the C Class offers a fair mix of world class safety, solid performance, and looks.
It's just... if you own a non-AMG C, you don't own a sports car. If you wanted one, why didn't you buy one?
The reason I'm writing this is all the comments belittling people against this idea. All the "psh, all my old cars didn't have ESP and ABS you lamer." I don't get it.

So I put the in Dyno mode for the first time today , didn't have any oh crap moments which is nice lol . Car pulls a little better and off the line acceleration is faster . Any way to pull actual data from it ?

To the person having the issue. Make sure that your key is in the first position, not the second (turned once). And if you were to hit any two of the buttons first, make it the accept call button.

I drove in dino mode for 1 week.
1 set of tires.
1 detail jobs at the dealership to get rubber out of my wheel wells.
1 huge smile on my face every time I fly sideways past a bmw in the street
4 a v6 this car has a ton of torques

I drove around all the time in my 08C350 in dyno mode. The car is def quicker, I remember reading somewhere that it puts the ECU into a diff pattern of some sort. When I track ran it I always did the dyno mode too. Sad thing is my 2011 DOESNT have the trac button, its in the freakin dash settings to get it off, so it SUCKS if you need it turn off in a jiffy like at a light against an Audi haha. And second suck is the 2011 has NO dyno mode, at least mine w the dynamic handling package w paddles doesnt have it. Im learning to get into the menu quick to turn off ESP, makes a huge difference, you cannot launch w it on

I own 2013 E550 4matic. Put it in dyno mode today. Tried hard acceleration hoping it would spin rear tires, didn't happen
How else can I have fun in dyno mode in a 4matic car? Have anyone floored it in dyno mode on ramps and/or backroads?

Can you do this on a c300 4 matic? Not sure if there is a point. I don't want to spin my tires, but if it added any extra noticeable pull or power, then I am game to try it out every now n then

I tried this in my 13 4matic. took it for a short drive but I thought to myself one thing in particular, since this is in a driag mode, I wonder if the trans will hold a gear and not shift if you select the gear through manual mode? Another thing, saw vehicle data and assist plus on the screen as well, vehicle data seems to show module codes and such. assist broke down into a "full service" and another thing. that brings a question, if I select "full service what would that do? allow me to reset the service interval?

I have a WS6 Trans AM that has a built drivetrain making nearly 900 rwhp, and I still keep the traction control and abs active when I drive it. Sure, sometimes I turn it off on purpose and do some smokey drifting but it sure gets expensive when rear tires are over $450 each. (Toyo R888s, 305/30/19s)
Learning to feel what the car is doing, and how it reacts, and where the limits are takes some time behind the wheel. Once you learn that, it's quite fun. But, unless you understand the physics of counter steer, snap steering, under steer, over steer, it can bite you in the butt if you're not careful.

FYI It may feel more fun because the ESP unit is not actively cutting throttle with traction loss, but dyno mode sucks because these cars have an open differential.
The ESP unit uses the brakes as what I call a soft-diff - braking is applied to the free spinning wheel to deliver power to the other wheel that has more grip.
Dyno mode just means that wheel that doesn't have enough traction to put power down is just going to keep spinning..

Would the C300 in this video have dyno mode enabled or just ESP disabled? I Couldn't do a burnout like this if I tried, and I wouldn't even want to try tbh. That's a lot of strain on the engine, brakes and transmission.
I have a tune and my rear tires are starting to get low. I was planning on going dyno mode for a little fun before I replace the rears. I envy all my friends with their inline 6 turbo BMWs and their easy to change traction control...
