Factory Spring Pad???

Could someone let me know the factory spring pad size for a 08' C300?? Looking to lower the rear just a touch, to level the car.

1. A 210 325 01 84 - 5mm Spring Pad
2. A 210 325 02 84 - 9mm Spring Pad
3. A 210 325 03 84 - 13mm Spring Pad
4. A 210 325 04 84 - 17mm Spring pad

Thanks

Can someone confirm that it's #3 from the factory. Is that both front
and rear?

Thanks!

-Yes, I installed the #1, came with #3 from factory. The car sits @ 26.50 inchs on the front corners and 26.75 inchs on both rear corners.

-Totally a DIY project, (1) bolt removal "per side".

-Waiting on roof/trunk spoilers to arrive from GB, then I'll post pics.

What a great DIY!! So if the factory pads are both #3, would it not sit lower in the rear now if you just replaced the rear? Thanks again!

So replacing the fronts and rears with both #1 would give you the stock look but 8mm lower, right?

It's not as easy as it sounds (removing one bolt). You have to raise the rear of the car, support the control arm with a jack, and remove the bolt at the hinge of the control arm under the spring. The bolt is a b*tch to remove and you have to use a special 12pt metric bit (takes some elbow grease). You are essentially removing the spring to replace the pad that sits on top. I wouldn't do it unless you have experience with replacing springs/shocks. If you think it's worth it for the 8mm drop, then go for it. For me it was worth it because i also replaced the springs with the eibach pro-kit and got an additional ~15mm drop.

Thanks
Does the front also have some springs pad option?

Is this a "luxury" version and which wheels do you have? I ask as my 350 sport with 18" AMG wheels sits at 26.375" at the rear in stock form which is lower than your car with the thinner pads?

Time to figure out which pads I have then. Another 10mm or so drop is perfect IMO. Thanks for the info.

I also have a 350 sport and mine came with the #3 or 13mm pads. So you can get a drop by just switching the pads.

1. Its a 08' Sport, (rear)18x9.5 w/275/35/18's
2. #3 spring pads were replaced with #1 spring pads.
3. Don't know about the front, only worked on the rear.
4. Tools required:
-Torx bit#55 ($7 @ any auto parts store)
-Socket
-(2) jacks
- little elbow grease/time, SORRY!

This worked out great for what "I wanted".

Good luck with yours....

Holy Crap Batman....
I have been on this board for a couple months and was dreaming of being able to drop the rear only about 1/2 inch but thought new springs/coilovers were my only options. An 8mm drop using all stock parts except for $20 worth of new spring pads is almost too good to be true. Can we get these from the dealer easily enough or should I just find them online? Will definitly be doing this one!!

Just get them from your dealer with the #1 part number from the first post. I was shocked when I paid only $9 for the pair.

the wheel gap in the front of my car appears to be bigger than the wheel gap in the rear... i thought the front needed to be lowered a little bit if anything.. ?

Hello everyone. Unfortunately the front does NOT have the option to change the pad, only the back. I also dropped the back with the 5mm pads and have the H&R Sports springs. Gives the car a perfect stance if you ask me...

Will changing from the 13 mm to the 5 mm springs on the rear require an alignment??

Are you sure the fronts cannot be done as well? The local tire shop I stopped by said they could do both front and rear. Of course you know how much misinformation is out there so I wanted to check back here...this group seems to know more than any other one place. Anyhow, if you can tell us the tech behind the front/rear difference, that would be great.
Thanks
