The front has pads too, I read they were interchangeable as well. Someone confirm this for us?

Stopped by European Motor Car today and inquired about the 13mm-5mm pad change out. They quoted me 3.5 hours for the rears and 1 hour for the fronts. I ordered all 4 pads from the dealer today for $19.60. Do you guys think that is way too many labor hours just for changing out pads? Just seemed kinda high to me.

Alignment

Since that was also my question, I stopped in at my dealer today and asked the service manager who was formerly a Tech. He said the 8mm drop is so small that he is sure no suspension adjustment would be needed. He also said that I wanted the shop to change the pads, (about one hour labor) they would do an alignment check as part of the deal.

This sounds attractive.

After all, I still have my $1500 MBCA/MBUSA Loyalty Rewards card to spend.

You'd better find another blacksmith shop. Even an amateur has changed the rears in one hour. And without a lift, yet. And since it's been revealed that the front HAS NO PADS TO CHANGE, I'd say they should be in jal.

So what you are saying is that the front springs are sitting on metal? I asked for someone to confirm whether or not the fronts could be changed and maybe the reasons for this, but got no response.
I also find it interesting that the parts department at Mercedes of Buckhead has a computer shematic that shows 13mm "washers"(German translation I suppose) for both front and rear.
I do however agree that 3.5 hours is pretty crazy for the rears while 1 hour for the fronts is reasonable...

I was told by a few mb dealerships that the front does have pads but they only have a part number for 1 size, while they have multiple part numbers and sizes for the rears. If anyone has information that is different or C300Sport you have a part number for the fronts, that are different from the stock, let us know. As for the labor it took my shop 45min to do the install.

Finally got my rear 13mm spring pads swapped out today with the 5mm pads. It makes a subtle difference but definitely reduces the tail high look. My top of wheel to fender gaps were 3.2cm/4.3cm front/rear. I am now sitting at 3.2cm/3.4cm front/rear and think it looks better balanced.
I swear I think it even handled a little better on the way home but I am pretty sure that was more physcological...
