That looks great to me. I wish I went with race or super sports. I still have a pretty large gap. Can you do a smaller pad in the front?
I'm sure there is thinner pads for the front as there is for the rear. it's just a hassle to remove the spring I have to take it to a shop with a spring compressor and I don't want to take the chance doing all the work and ending up disappointed if it's not much difference; coil overs are my best bet right now

Hi All
I have read the entire threads on this subject
My understanding is that the C200 Classic has the highest suspension standard, and my model the W204 C200 Avantgarde and AMG have a lower suspension standard ?
What would be the best H&R springs to fit Sports or Supersports
Wheels on my Merc are AMG 18 x 8.5 with 235/40/18 and 9.5 255/35/18

Thank you for any help you can offer
I'm pretty sure that's considered a luxury model, which is what I have. I put super sport springs on with a 5mm rear spring pad (stock is 13mm). I have no rubbing issues at all. Make sure you get an alignment a hundred miles after springs are installed.
I have the sport suspension and am thinking about a set of h&r sports. Running the 17"s. Just want to verify that I'll just get about .5 drop all around? I'm good with that if that's the case. Also concerned about the change in ride quality. Also from what I've read the change will be minimal. Good info in these threads I must say and some boss pics. Loving my MB and gonna love it more after I get my ecu tuned at OE tuning next week! Thanks all. Off topic but I'm trying to get my sig pic to work. Do I need a certain number of posts? It meets the parameters size wise and shows up as "current sig pic" but doesn't appear when I post. I can try to upload it from my photobucket maybe.

I threw a set of the Eibach Pro Kit springs on my girlfriends C250 Sport, basically the same drop as the H&R Sports, Got approx .5" in the fronts and .75" in the rears, however I also went with a 5mm pad in the back, with the stock pad it would have been the .5".
As far as ride quality, again I can only speak for Eibach but this is also an area that they are extremely close to each other. If I hadnt known better I would have never known that the springs had been swapped, no extra bounce or roughness beyond stock.
All in all I would say your safe to throw on the H&R's and stay within your parameters comfortably.
Wish I could help you with the Sig pic but I have no clue. Ive never heard or read that members are limited to areas until a set amount of post had been achieved. If I had to guess, it maybe set up that a moderator has to approve the pic before it goes live? Anyways, wish I could have answered your questions more directly, like I said though, the two springs compared are almost identical and the Eibachs have exceeded my expectations. I really haven't found any con's. I say go for it, I'm confident you'll enjoy the springs.
Kewl deal lowflyer. Sig pic is no biggie. Everyone knows whet my car looks like anyways. I'll get the tune done then maybe do the springs later this year. Powdercoat the wheels gloss black also. Some michelin pilot supersports when the time comes and I'm set. I love the ride of these contiprocontact tires but a grand touring a/s just doesn't compare to a max performance summer tire in the corners.
Car looks great! Hows the ride quality compared to the stock luxury springs?
I really want to swap out my sports to a SS now!
Rides really well
since then I just fitted some very nice C63 AMG 19 wheels
The trouble is i am having a little rubbing only on left hand side front tyre and its not the guard its where the guard and say bottom fender join theres a kind of point inside the guard towards to top front where it sticks out inside a bit , it appears the left hand side wheel is closer to the guard than the right hand wheel by about 5mm the exact problem
I have ground a little bit away inside but its still not fixing the problem
Any advice ? can i put some pads on the front to raise it up a tad ? again its the car this should not be happening and the RHS is fine so maybe its been in an accident ?
the spring pad sits on top of the rear springs and is 13mm in thickness stock. you can get a 5mm pad from the dealer to get an additional 8mm of lowering. I don't feel any difference performance wise but I guess theoretically the ride may be harsher.
Whats size are the stock front pads ? i need to raise mine a little after lowering with H&R supersporta and 19 wheels just a little rub on LHS only
The front just seems tad too low so if i raised it 5mm it should be fine , but i need to know what size stock pads are
thank for any help
