I have done the 2 minute reset and find it works for a few days and then the car starts getting that slow response again.

Even with the sprintbooster, the car adjust itself after a few days. i think its crazy that we spend this money on a benz and then having to "reset" the car to get some decent response from the car. I love the car but this "learning" behaviour of our car drives me nuts

If it's a true "learning behaviour' then what do you think it's "learning" about you? If you have to reset it every few days to get back that "feeling" then I submit you must be a fairly dull driver most of the time!

Or, maybe there's a bug in your ECU and the dealer needs to replace it?

Okay, AGAIN, this sound you should hear from my instructions DOES NOT come from the glovebox. It comes from the actual key hole where your key is. That is why having a keychain with something metal hanging off will allow you to hear the sound easier. It is a small click, its actually a spring behind the keyhole that signals it has been reset. Do it again. You probably did it correctly but didn't hear it because you were listening for something else somewhere other than where it comes from.

If a person drives in rush hour traffic and the average speed is 40-50km/hr then that is pattern that the car will learn. fact of life i guess.
