From hidden engineering manu, command HD has 4 partations. Head unit is from MELCO which is same manufacture as Mitsubishi MMCS head unit and same CPU.
Interesting find that OS is Windows CE and we may have software patch for VIM in future.
Mitsubishi forum is hacking command HD to get more HD space for music storage and VIM. Computer Guru from our forum may be interested in this hack.

How do you get into the hidden menu?

 

At center command, press and hold 3 buttons, " hang up , 1 and #. You will see Eng menu in LCD.
You can activate back up camera. Just need a camera to make it work.
Go to (option 7, sub menu 7) HU parameter and enable backup camera install.

On one of the sub-menu's in the hidden engineering menu the options are ripping & copying, the factory pre-set is ripping. Does anyone know if you change it to copying if you might be able to burn discs?

 

OMG! I hope someone here can make a go of this. And - in an ideal world, we can get an ISO of the update DVD that will just load it prepatched. Think of the possibilities!
