Finally, after 2 1/2 years, over 18,000 miles and way too many trips to the dealer I am getting a new transmission. It had finally gotten so bad that it would have been embarrassing for a mechanic or SA to say my 2cd gear synchros were working. I am still in the loaner but should get my car back tomorrow....God I hope I don't get another dud trans...

Happy, Happy, Happy Day
I am so freakin happy right now I feel like I am about to wet myself...ok maybe not quite that happy but pretty damn happy none the less.
I just drove home from the dealer with my brand new six speed manual installed and I have to say the car shifts a hell of a lot better than even when new. I bought this car thinking the shift quality was ok/pretty good and it went down hill from there. The shift quality now is a very solid good and maybe good enough to be considered great.
Anyhow, I am loving driving my car again and just wanted to let anyone else who is experiencing terrible shift quality know to bug the crap out of your dealership until they do something about it.

Add in the new bushings in the front end and an adjusted parking brake and I feel like I am in a new car!
