Anyone installed the Eibach shocks with H&R super sports?

Sorry, not Eibach. Bilstein shocks

Hi

I have on H&R super sport springs with my stock shocks. I can tell the shocks will wear out soon (it's making the cluncking noise). I heard only Bilstein came out with performance shocks (NOT Coilover) so far.

Has anyone install it with lowering spring? how do they feel compare to the stock C350 sport suspension? and how much is it total? parts + installation?

thank you in advance.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
I think the Bils are HDs, not sports. They are not supposed to be used with sport springs. The lack of sport shock options for this car is odd.

Yeah, I know. But I was wondering if they will be at least better than the stock shocks.

since I already have the H&R springs, I hate to have to get a whole set of coilover.

By the way, do you guys know if the labor is about the same for coilover, shocks, and springs? if not, roughly how much $ for replacing shocks, and how much for coilover? I am in chicago

Sorry, just have a question about your H&R ss's. I just ordered mine today and will be using them on my stock struts as well. Did it take long for the stock struts to wear?

Mine has 23,000 miles on it. But I live in chicago. we have extremely bad roads. I even cracked one wheel because of that. So if normal driving, it should last at least 30,000 miles.

I would say if you talk to the right people, All shock swaps would be the same price. If anything the coilovers would take less time since they are "unit" type installs and can be assembled outside the car as opposed to having to compress the loose springs on a cup kit install. Also dont forget to get an alingment after you are done with the install.

Oh okkay. Thanks for the info. Roads in nj are crap too so I guess we'll see how they hold up.

Sport shocks have shortened rods. It's not an issue of damping ability. If the Bils are same exact size as the OE sport shocks, they should last as long as the OEs and will probably perform better. I believe Bilstein still offers a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser too.

Why don't you go right to the source and ask? Years ago that's where I got the answer I gave you.
