Question Rain Sensors + wipers - erratic behaviour...?

Used my wipers for the 1st time today (bye bye summer),
and am not too impressed with the rain sensors.

In general it works ok, but it doesn't wipe in a very "constant" way.

sometimes the wipers just speed up for no apparent reason,
and wipe when it's not really neccessary.

Also, there doesn't seem to be a difference between
setting 1 (normal) & 2 (sensitive).

Any thoughts?

I've only had to use mine once this far. I noticed similar problems.

It finally rained today and had to use the wipers constantly for the first time. I found that there really isn't any manual control with the wipers and they were erratic, but worked well. During very light rain is where I didn't like the mild skipping and dragging.

I wish there is a one wipe button without engaging the washers like I had on my Audi.

Hopefully, the wipers will work under snow conditions.

there is:
press the "window spray" button lightly.
it wipes once, without spraying.

Thanks! Should have read the Operations manual instead of the Command manual.

Also by doing this you obtain a slightly improved fuel economy as the brake pads will not feather the rotors with one wipe but will do so when the wipers are in continious operation. Does any one know how many wipes will activate this feature ? Maybe 4 ?

Optional...you need to have the P1 or P2 packages I believe.
