Headlight Black Housing

I'm planning to open up the headlights and black house the shiny parts to get that C63 look has anyone done that or have the specific part number to that piece in in the head light? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I know that cmann did a complete C63 conversion to his car including painting the headlight housing black.

as far as i know, it's not seperate part. either you paint it or replace whole headlight assembly.
just for curiosity, you know how to open it up. right?

i am planing on doing this, took my car to flawless motorsports the my buddy said he needs to take off the bumper in order for him to be able to do this plus they have to take off the headlight cover its a long process they said it will take a day to finish so the paint can dry up. i told them i want xenon lights for the headlight and the fog lights 8000k german xenons and painting inside the headlight with work and everything the guy said it will cost me $1000

ditto on the DIY. So theres no luck that that piece that is usually clear/silver is another piece in the whole headlight? cuz the headlights cost like ~$1000. kinda rididculous. I was hoping you could rattle can it. But then buy a new part so you could swap it back in, in case you wanted to go back to stock mode. :P

I'm gonna ask my local parts department and see if they can pull up a schematic on the headlight for me. :P ill keep you guys posted.

A guy with a white C did it and looks good. I can't find the thread. If I remember correctly, he said the housing was heated and pulled away from the lense.

i know when i had my lincoln ls all i had to do was, put the headlight in the oven for a few minutes the pull it apart the sealent was grey.
