Was bored

Had some free time, was kicking it at Promax.....saw the new CF vinyl laying around. Decided to play with it. Not as good as real CF, but not that bad and good enough till a real cf grille does come out.

That looks good. Now black out the chrome bars and it will look even better. I was thinking of redoing my grill in the spring like that but with real CF.

Actually the more I look at it the more I like it. Did you make a pattern on a PC then have a vinyl cutter make the pieces? If so could more be made?

Thumbs up

Dang That looks REALLY GOOD! How long it take? The top one piece looks great... You got all the right angles too!

Man I suck at putting decals on!

piece was laid out, then slices off around edges. Could probably do a computer layout, but like I said, this was a quick dirty. Just wanted a better idea on CF grille panels before buying real CF sheets and doing a serious job at it.

I was hoping you had gone the PC route. I would have asked for the file and used the cutter at work to make a template for the CF. I'll have to get my friend Art on this now.

Hey, that looks nice! Good work. It's very pretty. I wonder how that stuff will hold up in the outdoors (UV, rain, etc.). You said it's vinyl, right?

(It's not surprising that Ron Jr suggested blacking out the chrome...)

I will make extra templates after that you are on your own. CF is a PIA to cut nicely.
