Great Dealership!

Hi all, Just wanted to tell everyone about my experience yesterday at the dealership. Before my car was even delivered I ordered the trunk spoiler from formymercedes.com so it would come painted already. I picked up my car on the 15th of October. Since it is cold here already I figured I'd have to wait till spring to install myself since I don't have anywhere to warm the body of the car up so the tape would stick. I thought what the heck i'll ask the dealer if they could install it for me, they of course said no problem but i'd have to pay of course. They tell me bring it by on Monday (yesterday) around 9 AM which I was cool with. Yesterday morning I drop it off, talk to the body shop manager let him know the new spoiler is in the car and also asked if they would debadge the car while they were at it, he said no problem pick it up again at 3 PM. I came back at about 4 PM as I got a little tied up at work and walk into the manager's office and he hands me my key and says NO CHARGE! He said the guy's wanted to do it for free because they said it was cool that I'm American and can speak German. I handed the manager 20 Euros for their coffee fund said thanks to all the workers and drove home happy.

Opps forgot to mention that it is Auto Scholtz in Bamberg Germany. They told me initially that it would be somewhere in the range of 30-50 Euros for mounting (originally quoted 150 Euro but then I informed them it was already painted)

It's great to hear that customer service is not dead... Wish more companies would realize that treating customers like this is the way to retain more business.

Same level of service is given in Netherlands as well. I had a flat tire and they fixed it for free. When I asked for charge , they said , no charge. Here they clean the car inside out as well even you had to go to them for a very minor issue. They also put a plastic sheet on the seat to avoid making any oil, dirt stains, when they get in the car and drive it to the service station.
