contemplation....

ecu tune the 204 (not really needed, but extra 15rwhp is tempting) or fix the dent on the hood of the 203 by getting a CF one (really hate that dent)

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....which one first.....hmmmm

oh...and i got some sneak peak prototype thing on the back of the 204.

I've seen the diffuser in person and I have to say that it's dead sexy.

update:

got the K&N filters I bought put in. not sure why is there a soft rubbery patch thing under both side of the airbox, but the stock filter's side slab is pretty much blocking most of the airbox's inlet pipe. The K&N which is about half of the thickness allows for more air to go through. You can definitely feel the less restrictive filter working better as the rev climbs and my ECU tune definitely benefited from the new filters.

ECU+K&N: is it an amazing increase? probably not, but does gives the 3.5 a little more grunt and makes it that more fun to drive. finally it feels more like it has the power that it was suppose to come with.

How much was it and do you feel a difference in the shifting of the vehicle? I have the Singh ecu tune and do not feel a difference in the shifting at lower rpm's but at higher rpms the car does pull better.

it pulls strong down low as well as up high after i got the filters changed out to help the engine breath up top. 3rd gear is the only gear you feel a little bit of under/no difference because of the gearing, but i think the ECU is still adapting. it pulls much better than the first day of the tune. you can definitely feel there's a little more torque in 1st and 2nd. i dunno why they made the 3rd so long after the very short 1st and 2nd gear.

it was only $350 for me since I got it done at their tuning day special couple wks ago when they hold the meet at this local VW parts shop tuning GTIs. The filters were $70 ish.

Haven't checked your 204 thread in a long time Frank. Damn, you have a knack with mods. The 204 looks great! I love the luxury grille and upright star. Thats' how the 204 Sport should have come from MB IMO.

no issues. they're perfect fit. perhaps better fit then the C63 because we don't have wider fender so on ours it looks flush.

Nice. I'm running HTRZ-III on my 7. Good tires and much better than the previous HTRZ.

So did the zip tie did the trick the first time? Around here they don't accept zip ties they want it mounted on the bumper
