Wax for black paint
I am looking for some opinions from people who own a black car.
The Dealer did a great job and put a nice thick coat on it with no swirl marks. I would like to keep it that way so which brand do I pick? I was thinking about calling the Dealer but they probably use something that you can only buy by the Gallon or something.
Fall is here and it's been awhile since I did it myself and I have fallen somewhat behind with the brands. I ran a search a couple of times but found nothing specific except for something called "claying". ??
Somebody mentioned Duragloss to me but I am not familiar with them.
Maybe I should just leave it alone until Spring.

I use Mothers California Gold (Reflections) on mine. Two coats of wax and one of top gloss. I am thinking of trying Do Do Juice (Purple Haze) in the spring they have a mix just for dark colored cars.

I use that mothers spray wax in the bottle that looks like a fire extinguisher, if nothing else, it looks cool haha.

I know this will sound crazy to the hard core among us but my last black car looked great and almost new after 5 years of monthly or bi monthy "wax as you dry" usage. I really just didn't have the time to do the montly carnuba any longer so gave it a try and it worked well. What do you guys think of that stuff anyhow? It seemed to perform very well at the intervals I was using it but would love to know if you guys have ever heard of any problems with it.

No. Theres no more white dust from using zaino. I used it a couple of weeks ago on my black c class and came out beautiful. But the fact that the car is black, means dirty the next day

Next day more like next hour they must have changed the formula becuase when I had used it a Loooong time ago after waxing I would have to rewash the car to get rid of the dust.

The new ZAIO and polish is even worst in terms of dust generation...
its nothing that can't be picked up by cali duster or light wipedown with a clean terry or micro.
