The most that I got out of the deal on a o9 c300 was about 41k, and that was with no money down at all. The packages that I had were the p1 and multimedia, in which I thought was a decent offer. Especially compared to the c350 with just the p2 package that they had for 45k starting out. I said forget and was glad to with my decision over that c350. Some dealers think that they can smart talk you if you do not know exacty what you are lookin for.

I keep getting offered 39.5K for a 350 09 with P2, 18" wheels, ipod and a couple other things. I'd like that to be about 37.5K, then we're done!

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
Something everyone should know about the destination charge is that it is not what the factory charges the dealer to deliver the car from Germany or South Africa to the USA. That is included in the invoice price.

It is really a charge at destination. It is a way for them to exclude a portion of the profit from the bargaining. There is probably only one or at most two people at the dealer who know what the precise cost of the car is. You can calculate it this way: Take the invoice from Edmunds minus 5% MSRP holdback, minus any incentive like cash to dealer. Ignore flooring, advertising, destination charge, DMV document fees, and take the cap off the pen fees. If the dealer does not want to sell move on. Another one will.

Same here..Black on Black 08 C300 with iPod and Auto for a little over $32k OTD. Nice trade in value as well. MSRP was $34,750. The dealer threw in a 3M Clear Coat Protectant inside and out. Had to bring the car in for that about a week after I bought it...Looks great but took the new car smell away
Anyway, it was a pretty good deal in late May of 08 as the 09 weren't out yet...

I keep getting about these levels.

09 C350 P2, MM, Ipod, 18", 39500
09 C300 P1, MM, Ipod, stock wheels, 36500.

Are these in the right ball park for good deals?

11% off 09 C300 from $36k to $32......but also got a end of the model year 08 E350 from $57 down to $44....that felt even better at 23%!!! Did both deals in November 2008.
