Debaged with a residual "shadow"
I debaged this weekend but can still see where the badge had been. It is really very light and can only be seen at certain angles. Is this from the UV non-exposure of the paint under the badge or maybe residual adhesive(even though it has been cleaned well)? It is no where near obvious enough to bother me but I was just curious as to the cause.

I used Goo Gone and gave it a good coat of Maguires but there is still a very, very faint shadow. It really seems to the color of the silver under the clear coat. Anyhow, it is very hard to see so I am not too worried. If it is UV aging, it is soo slight that it should even out and be impossible to see soon.

I have used the 3M scratch and swirl remover in the past. It works great. 3M also makes an Adhesive/Wax remover. You would definitely have to re-apply wax afterwards.

Waiting will not cure this.
Use a porter cable or felx polisher with some moderately aggressive menzerna polishes and it should look like new. While you have all that out do the whole car!
