Side Marker Lights

Planning on changing the side marker lights on my Palladium Silver C350 Sports.

Should it be clear or smoked?

Where is the best place to buy them? TIA for your help guys.

Yes, I am leaning towards the clear ones myself.
Thanks for your response PolePosition.

Nah... I'm biased towards smoked for Palladium Silver.

smoked for that color. You want the marker to be subtle...smoke blends in better.

Are the smoked too dark to blend with Iridium Silver? I was going to get the clear since I removed all of my headlight films (except the fogs & sidemarkers) due to the film shrinking (started pulling away from the edges).

I think the smoked ones look good on all of the silver hues.

For the darker silver, the smoked will look best. I went with clear because I have the Iridium silver.

Installed them the other day. About 20-30 min install. Matching up the innner housing unit to the new corners was a PITA....Sorry for the crappy pics, there from my blackberry.

Do they make clears that don't have the white looking trim around them? I would prefer the entire thing have the crystal look vs the oulined in white look. Are there different ones out there or is that it?

Good call on the clear ones for your Iridium Silver. Perfect match

clear side markers

I'm trying to change my side markers and they won't move! is there any trick to do it? do I have to remove the screw from the inner housing before pulling them out?

I tried to do it without removing the inner fender cover.

thank you!!

I have a white 11 C300 and the clears look great. The trick for installation is to remove the 3-4 tabs holding the front part of the wheel well lining(no need to jack up the car) Reach in and disconnect the the wire housing. Push out the lens. Decide on using the clear or amber light. It is a bit tricky getting the new lens in and you have to play with it to get the lens and the body good and snug. . Reconnect everything and snap the wheel well liner back in. Some states you may have a problem is you don't use the amber light, however I have so far been lucky using the white light in the clear lens.

Thank You guys. I just got a 2011 C300 in iridium silver with gray/black interior and I hate those orange lights. I already have the clear lights and I will try to do it tomorrow.
It was very easy to do my white 211.

Clear or Smoked for Barolo Red Metallic?

The one thing I don't like about the clear is they seem to have a white boarder around them. I think that will clash with the rest of the car.
