Dual AMG Exhaust Tips

I like the look, but using the stock catback, doesn't the Y-pipe have to be asymetrically welded in order to fit the quad-diffuser?
I could be completely wrong but I remember seeing pictures of members who had gone the quad route and had had the y-pipes fabricated.

You can't really get non AMG OEM quad tips, you have to make them using two stock tips, as shown on that thread.
Those tips sold on ebay seem to be a very good alternative since they will save you a lot of work, and the price is not bad at all if they are indeed genuine AMG tips. BUT!!! they wont fit the quad tip diffuser, as mentioned. As you can see from VaderSS thread, the current tip will stay in place while the new tip (to form the doulbe tip) is moved to the center of the car. In other words, that guy on ebay is selling a Y pipe, when we actually need something closer to an "h" pipe.
