My reason for asking is that when I had service A, they told me that service B runs $600.
Reading the service interval charts, it looks like they're suppose to do service 3 and 4 also which in service 3 includes replacing the brake fluid.
First, did they replace the brake fluid and did they charge extra for that?
Second, does brake fluid normally need to be replaced at 26,000 miles?

1. Ignition key in position 2.
2. Use the page button to select odometer readout in cluster.
3. Use the scroll button to display FSS indicator.
4. Press 'R' button on cluster for approximately 2 seconds.
5. Display in cluster will advise "to reset service reminder - press 'R' button for approx. 3 seconds.
6. Press 'R' button on cluster for approximately 3 seconds.
7. Service reminder is reset.

Jimpap, that $600 seems steep. My Service B was around $325-$395. What is the other $$$ for?

That's what I'm trying to figure out.
Maybe its the brake fluid changeout thats actually service 3 or 4 that should be done at 26K. I don't know.

That $298 seems more in line.
Jimpap, I would ask the SA or the SM to break that price down by item. That's what I do. Some of that stuff assumes some things.

a good idea i heard from someone on this forum was to fill up what fluids you could at your house before you take it in, it will be much cheaper for you to top them off then the stealership.

From experience: I let my Jeep's brake fluid stay in place for 8 years. No big deal, I thought. Until I had to rebuild my brakes. Seems that the fluid can cause damage if left in too long. Replacing it removes harmful broken-down fluid.
Why 8 years? Now with 9 years on it, the Jeep only has about 22K miles. So I wasn't thinking about corrosion, only about mileage. Big mistake.
