I've always been driving mid-large size cars and the C will be the first compact car i"ll be getting. Today i saw one w204 in traffic and it seemed quite small compared to other cars on the road.
My question is, have you had any regrets after buying it that it turned out to be tighter than you expected? On long drives, do you comfortably make it in one go, or do you find yourself stopping frequently for need to stretch. Have you had 5 adults in a car, and did they feel squeezed especially in the back?

I've had a smaller car before.. a 2001 celica I thought the c300 was pretty big compared to it.. I did not have any regrets the back seats are a bit small for tall people but it isn't too big of a problem usually I move the front seats a little closer so the people in the back would have more leg room. The most I've had sit in the car were four and they didn't complain about the space.I think it is a fair size for it's style. 09 have seats that you can adjust so it's very comfortable.

the c class is a compact, so it is like a coupe w/ rear doors. I don;t have any problem at all. But it does feel tight in the back sit. It's ok if only u ( plus front pass) use the the car most of the time. If you are planning to have 5 adults in the car most of the time, c class is not the one for you.

I am coming out of a lager car and I find the front has plenty of room but the rear seat room may be a bit tight for taller people. I am 6'1" and can "sit behind myself" if I pull the seat forward a bit but then neither front or back would be comfortable. Anyone under 5'8", front or back, should be fairly comfortable.

I moved down from a Jaguar S-Type. The C-350 is a lot tighter inside and not nearly as luxurious or well finished.
But I'm getting used to the size and I have fallen in love with the 350 engine and 7 speed transmission.
Sure I saved about $15,000 buying the C-350 over a new Jag XF so one has to expect a lower grade of car. I don't need the space but I miss the quality.
All in all, this car is fine and should last a good long time.

I'm 6' 2" and no problems. A little cramped with passengers but that's always a short haul.
The size is perfect for squeezing through in tight traffic, fold the mirrors in stuff.
Personally, I'd never buy a Jag because I know it's mostly Ford architecture behind the logo and they always seem to be on the brink of bankruptcy. Now Tata own it.

I've had 2 Jags and 2 Mercedes and the Jag's are the more reliable and nicer finished. The Mercedes are more popular.
