Almost a full year since the C-Class came out....

"As for resale value, the C-Class falls short of typical Mercedes-Benz expectations. It has only a slightly better-than-average projected residual value over a four-year period, besting the Saab 9-3 and Cadillac CTS, but ranking far behind the values expected of the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Lexus IS and Infiniti G35."
The 2008 models are listed as below average and is far behind the same cars listed above, not to mention resale prices aren't too far off what 2007 C class resale prices are. Thats pretty crazy considering it was a complete refresh of the car (except engine and trans) for 2008. It will be quite interesting to see what prices these cars start fetching in a few years when everyone here will start trading their cars in.
I'm just not used to be $10 to 12 THOUSAND upside down. Bet it's close to the same for other brands right now though.
It's gotta be killing the dealerships to rely solely on cash buyers for sales. If they don't take trades, that has to cut off more than 50% of their customers.
