C350
3.0 & 3.5 engines look the same
I got a c300 loner & looked at the engines, they look the same!! i was suprised.. I thought the 3.0 would look smaller.

same engine, the 350 cylinders are bored out a touch more creating more volume.

Well all you really see is covers nowadays! The C300 is called the C 280 in Europe, and is a 2996 cc engine. The C350 is a 3498 cc engine. So on the outside you would not see that much difference (if any) it's just that one is bored out more.

2008 R350 & 2008 C300
Yeah..pop the hood on any of the cars and the engines (except for AMG models) all look the same, even the 320 bluetec diesel engines have the same covers.

I wonder if it is more expensive at all to make the 3.5 liter then?
