HID question

I'm trying to get HID kit for c300.
I saw that PROMAX kit looks good..Do I need H7 kit?
And is it plug and play or do I need to do some serious installation?
Thanks in advance

Is there anyway to make my HID changes color from different distance? I've seen on certain cars the HID projector changes color, from purpleish to bluish, to white, is it possible for a C300?

All HIDs do that...some more than others, but they all do it. It's nothing special, just different viewing angles and distance that change the color/intensity of the light.

that promax kit has a huge ballast! the DDM is much smaller about the thickness of 2 CD cases and about as small as a coaster, with it being that small its easy to hide and mount. plus i heard that the DDM runs the coolest. i have DDM and its a super easy install. all plug & play. you do need to order the optional warning eliminator as well as the kit. but for about C-note you can get it all and diy it.

Ballast is larger, but still fits tucked in on top of the wheel well just fine. I used some double-sided tape to hold it down at first, then rethought it and went with zip-ties. I have no issue with temp. Don't need to get any extra pieces as it won't throw warnings or errors. And I had my shop put it in for me as I was there getting other work done anyways, but it really is plug and play. Like I said, you can't go wrong with either choice. At this point, you really are just comparing minor nitpick pros/cons.

H7 to D2S adapters, 18$:
http://www.hidplanet.com/H72D2.html

Hella/Philips Generation-3 Package, 390$:
(2) Hella/Philips LVQ-212 G3 Ballasts
(2) D2S HID Bulbs
(2) Ballast Covers/mounts
(2) Ballast connectors

yeah philips is the sh*t! just be prepared with tools to do a lot of mods. but its worth it! my friend put them in his tacoma, tons of mods had to be made to get it to fit at turn on. but the bulbs and the color output is the best.

i dont think there are any "mods" to do with that kit. it includes everything and with the d2s to h7 adaptors it should be bolt on into the housing
