Break-in
The car is going again back to the dealer as we had just completed the 12K mile service on Friday. I am not sure how much the driver side window is going to cost and am unsure if the ride quality would be the same as before (am concerned about wind noise). All these just when we were preparing to take the car on the Amtrak Auto-Train this week.
If only I can find out which s**s of B****es did this ---

I'm sure aerodynamics will not be affected, since there is no structural damage to the body. Just make sure MB glass is installed. If some generic replacement is used, your safety may be affected.
The stolen car was used to cut down a small tree and was left running at a local elementary school. The cops called me at 5:00 am to ask "do you know where your car is?" Obviously I didn't.
Now I crowd cars and normal garage stuff into the garage. Uncomfortably tight, but the cars don't get stolen/damaged in there.
If you don't have a private and locked garage, this is a tough situation. You just know they'll be back. In my neighborhood, we set out cameras to catch these guys and the cops did use some of the footage. Eventually the kids who were doing it graduated from school and moved away. It's been quiet for several years now. But do you think I could leave a car out at night? No way! My wife will not risk that!

As far as your window- I had my passenger front window replaced after I got some major chips on it. Absolutely no problems with wind. Just get it done the right way.
