Windshield Treatment to Prevent Wiper Skipping

I once changed from standard wipers to the PIAA silicone wipers. The silicone wipers came with a solution specially made to prep the windshield for "stickier" wipers. It apparently worked the opposite from Rain-Ex (it reduced surface tension instead of increasing it) Anyhow, this stuff made the old wipers (put it on prior to changing just for the fun of it) work like a dream.
Does anyone have any idea what the solution was?? It may be something that can help many of us out as Rain-Ex actually makes the skipping wipers worse. I will keep looking around but you guys usually know at least something about most everything so I thought I would ask....

Seriously, put me down for a bottle of the stuff too!

Ever since they changed my wipers blades, there's been a marked improvement on the chattering, but on the lower 'Auto' setting, I've noticed that there's still a 'rub' after the 4th or so pass...

Polish your windshield. I like using Zaino glass polish.
