Get a warranty claim. I had some water drops inside the side mirror and never noticed it . After i took it for service , the service guy told me that there are water drops inside the side view mirror and they replaced the whole unit. No charge.
Your's should not rattle. Go to the dealer immidietly.

Captain Kirk on the starship Enterprise is trying to get away from the Kleons and tells Scottie, the head engineer, to speed up the spacecraft to warp 9.5. Which as we all know would likely cause your side mirrors to vibrate.

i have the same problem, the driver side mirror lens shakes when going about 100kmh+. Dealer replaced the whole mirror assembly, but no fix at all! So, i think its a common problem.

I have a 2008 C300 Sport Sedan (Palladium Silver), I have the same problem... I sent it to 2 dealerships and they said they did everything they could but could not fix it. Mine is a folding side-mirrors, what's yours?... I am not sure if MB is aware of this?

Take it to the dealer and I'm certain they'll fix it under warranty !!

Hi... thanks for the reply.... I took it to 2 dealerships but they could not fix it... They replaced every single part of it (but not the whole assembly), and still it's the same thing... I wonder why the right side-mirror does not vibrate at all....

I even complained the dealership to the BBB because of poor service... I will attempt again to another dealership, otherwise I might take it up to the MBUSA (if somebody will listen to me...)... It really frustrates me whenever I drive my car....

Push hard to have the entire assembly replaced. If that doesn't help, maybe they should really scrutinize the door and how it is mounted.

Clearly no one here enjoys the Star Trek jokes :[.
But yes, my guess is that the mirror housing itself is loose. I have a...somewhat similar problem where my mirror itself, not the housing, often moves without me touching it and when I press my settings button to the left tog et it back to where it was, it doesn't go anywhere. I assume the alignment itself is off then .
Anywhoo, just go to a different dealership. A lot of em vary in terms of service/staff. Some are jerks, some will bow down at your feet. It's just a matter of finding the right one.

I have same problem at driver side folding one around 60 mph. Loaner w/o folding shakes also. Try to hold the mirror while shaking but does not go away, looks like the whole assembly shakes.
