2009 European Model Feature?
Hi,

Finally got my car after having to wait for two weeks until all the paperwork was completed.

I have read all about the 2009 changes to the W204 but I have a feature that I have not seen posted before and I wonder if this feature is common to all 2009 models. Basically it is a lip on the rear of the rear wheelarches (pic is not very clear - I took it with my mobile).

Do any of you guys have this?

It looks somewhat like the fender lip for the C63. Isn't there some kind of rule/law in Europe that no part of the tire can be seen from above? Doesn't this allow the body to comply with that law?

It could be, I have the AMG staggered tyres with the 255s at the back. Maybe this is only for the wider tyres(?).

It is installed when you choose the 18" optional wheel package to accommodate the wider wheels.

There is a simlar fender lip on the GL550, the ML550, and M63 AMG.

I have the optional 18" AMG wheels, and there is no additional piece that was stuck on with 3m tape...

I think this is only on Euro spec???
