Another Edmunds blog on c300
I've long stopped reading Edmund's long term review because their editor's credentials or rather lack of them.
Here is another fine example of that:

Thats retarded. I can't believe he lumps the 1 series in there as well. The 135i is 100% a mans car, and the forums are 95% guys.
I also think the W204 is LESS feminine than the B8 A4.
And since my last car was a Cooper S, I must be a full blown chick according to this dude.

I've read that before, as well as the other articles within the Long-Term Road Test for the C-Class. I especially pay attention to the comments to see what people say, and the number of negative comments is ridiculous.
However, the more I think about it, all the people leaving comments don't have a C-Class, so they are going to be biased toward the decisions they made. All in all though, I love the car and never thought for a second that it couldn't be a man or a woman's car.

"It is not quick by any means and no one buys a Mercedes for sports car handling. (even if you opt for the C63 AMG, its not about handling) Its not very big if you're looking for a family car and there are many better cars for the money. So, only badge conscious buyers without much testosterone would be interested..."
OUCH.

I think he might be referring to the whole C300 is for women but C350 is geared for men because of the added performance. Its the same thing on the IS250 and IS350 stereotype. But IMO most people call certain cars "girl" cars because of jealousy or some other factor.

notice he didn't lump any of the 3 series... let it be 328 or 335... so I think its more than just performance he is referring to. either way, it just shows how closed minded and out dated he is.

It's all opinion so don't take it personally. He gets paid to write that kind of stuff. It got people to post so he's doing his job somewhat right.

one of those "grain of salt" articles.....
I really hate how people just brand one car or another as male or female. Drive what you like, period.

C300 Sport
I've seen literally hundreds of 328's here in Southern California and I don't think I have seen a single one driven by a man...mostly white 328's without the sports package driven by women...I'm serious...
