I had my COMAND updated by the dealer to the latest version, and I have noticed that when playing MP3 files from the memory card, if you get out of the car when the song is part of the way through....when you get back into the car and restart the vehicle...the song starts from the beginning. I realize this is not a MAJOR issue...but it is a tiny bit annoying..none the less.

Has anyone else noticed this?

It also happens to CDs. To me its a major problem. BTW, how do you check Command version?

I got my C220 CDI (new and customized) on 28'th october 2008 and the mp3 files start from where I removed the key.

Got the newest version of the system (car deliverd last week producet in nov. 08) and my mp3 files also start from where I removed the key

So what about the question above? Another W204 owner wanted to know that too, for some other purpose. Anyone familiar with the engineering mode, I'd expect you can find it there?

same thing happened to me too once i got the command updated. maybe that's just how its designed now??

No, it cannot be intended like this, or I don't believe it would be intended to work like this (my W221 starts from where it was left). But there are now conflicting views if I interpret comments like the OP and Teck above. One should figure out the actual SW revision to be sure the comparison is for the same SW. A pity if that is only possible with Star.
