First Service 2009 c300
I just purchased a 2009 c300. It seems that there is a free 1st service between 1k-3k miles. What do they do during that free service, and is it worth taking it in (time and hassle)?

They basically just do an inspection of everything but really nothing necessary. I took mine in to have a couple small issues checked at the same time so it worked out well.

It was complimentary on my 08 and it was my understanding it was standard across the board for the C Class.

It may have been that MB was concerned about potential problems with the new design and wanted to keep a close eye on them to indentify and/or prevent issues.

2009 C300 4Matic Sport P2/MM/Steel Gray
my dealer told me there was a 3k courtesy service for my 09, who knows, i got 2000 miles on it so I intend on bringing it in after the new year.
