Look at the VIN number (11 digit) and...

A-E Sindelfingen
F-H Bremen
J Rastatt
X Graz
T Karmann
R South Africa

If your number has a M, you're so lucky it means Woking (England) and they built the SLR. The G-Class is bulit in Graz

Okay, so we have that in common, I raced a street stock (blunderbust) car at riverhead raceway for more then 3 years. I spent alot of time tuning carburetors. I just don't understand how you can tell the "bog" is not a "programming" issue when your foot is not physically connected to the throttle...
Have you ever tried turning off the ESP (and not with the dashboard button) and driving the car? it's an entierly different animal with it off.
Regards,
Rick

How do you turn the ESP off not using the dash button. Is it a "complete" disengagement of the computer nannies? That could indeed help determine if the issue is mechanical or caused by some over zealous sensors.

I got the Benz back today. It seems good so far. I have only driven for 10 miles. They replaced a tranny mount that they say was reverberating the sound into the cabin of the car. I am skeptical until I have driven the car for 500 miles or so.
